Shannon

       Teather

              McGee 

was raised in Dallas, TX where she began dancing at a young age. She trained with KJ Dance Designs where she was a member of the competitive Pulse Company. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Colorado State University where she studied contemporary, modern, jazz, ballet/pointe, choreography, improvisation, pedagogy, and tap. There she received the annual CSU Dance Scholarship and was a member of the Tour Dance Company, a performance and outreach program that traveled all over the state of Colorado. 

 

Shannon has performed excerpts from Paquita, Chopiniana, Don Quixote, and Raymonda as well as original modern and contemporary works. She has been a member of Benita Bike's DanceArt Company and IMPACT Dance Company. 

 

Shannon also has a passion for teaching and choreography, she has created many choreographic works for students and profesionals alike. She has choreographed and performed in “Masquerade”, a music video by artist Reed Isaac and has taught for Mountain Kids Dance Center, Studio West Dance, and Jubilee Consortium. 

 

Shannon currently resides in New York City and is continuing to perform and choreograph as a free-lance dancer.
